Wedding Investment


My typical packages start around $2,500 and go up from there.

I believe wedding photography is very personal and truly believe in finding the right fit for you. I’d love to meet you guys (in person or virtually) and discuss your wedding and your needs.

Wedding Questions (asked by y’all) & Answers (by Katie)

How do you feel about gay weddings? I believe LOVE IS LOVE (and frankly, if you don’t, feel free to look elsewhere – I’m not your girl). I have two wonderful sons and I cannot wait to meet the person/s they fall in love with.

What is your style of photography?
I consider us to be more photo-journalistic but with a slight posed aspect. In general, we capture you day as it unfolds. However, we do pose you during the portrait time to make you look your best 😉

How long have you been in business?
Lovestruck Images was founded in 2009.

How many weddings have you shot?
We have photographed well over 150 weddings.

How do you describe your working style?
We have fun and blend in quite a lot. During your ceremony we will NEVER be the focus – we move quietly, we will not step behind you or up on the alter where eyes would be drawn to us. During portraits, we can easily direct people and get large family portraits done so people do not feel like half of your wedding was spent waiting on you guys to show up. During the reception, we will get out there on a crowded dance floor to get the shots we want 😉

Do you have a portfolio we can view?
Um OF COURSE! We still prefer meeting people face to face and will show you a ton more work other than what you see on our website once we sit down with you. If you’d like to see more before you meet with us, just shoot me an email and I’ll send you some more links 😉

What type of equipment do you use?
Most of us are Canon shooters but we do have a few 2nd photographers who prefer Nikon. We all use digital SLRs.

Do you photograph in b/w or color?
We photograph digitally which means everything we capture is in color. We can change things to b/w (or other color options) during the editing process. We typically give around 25% b/w but this totally depends on how we see your images and feel they look best during our editing process.

Do you have other vendors you recommend?
Yep! On the home page of our website, click on the heart in the menu bar. These are our favorite vendors.

Do you charge a travel fee?
Travel within an hour of the DC area is included in our packages.
If you are outside of this area, let us know and we will give you a quote for travel expenses. We do our best to keep these cost down.

Will our photographer have other events the day of ours?

If my wedding last longer than expected, will you stay?
Yep. Unexpected over time is $250 per hour per photographer.

Do you carry back up equipment? Of course!

Will you work from a shot list?
We really prefer not to work off a shot list (such as one you will find online). The reason? We photograph a lot of weddings, we know what needs to be photographed and truthfully, crossing items off on a list will cause us to miss some of those candid moments that we all love so much. We will however go over a list with you and make sure that we make a smaller list of anything out of the ordinary that we wouldn’t normally photograph. We also work with you to create a portrait list of exactly what you would like so that we won’t miss something. (ex- your best friends mom is like your 2nd mother? that’s awesome and we want to make sure we get that shot for you)

How will you be dressed?
We typically wear all black or dark colors so we don’t stand out too much.

We don’t need everything in your packages/or we’d like to add more, what can we do about this?
We can customize anything for you. Think of our packages as a starting point. We put together our packages based on what many people need and then we can adjust them to fit your needs.

Will we have rights to our images?
If your package includes the ‘high resolution files’ that means you will have the ability to download all of your images and print/post them. If you would like to submit the images to a blog or magazine, we can totally do that, just let us know 😉

How do your payments work?
We take 1/3 down to hold your date and the remaining 2/3rds two weeks prior to your event. We accept credit cards and checks and try to make things as easy as possible on you guys 😉

Our venue requires you to be insured – are you?
Yep! And we can provide them with proof of insurance if it’s required.

How long does it take to get our images?
This can vary slightly depending on how busy the month of your wedding is. We typically get images back to you within a month of the wedding. However, during our busy months, this could take 6 weeks.
